Friendship of the Soul

Hello,
Thank you loyalty and interest in Sacred journal for the last 4 years. It has been very rewarding to me in being able to share my insights. I am going to discontinue publishing for the next year while I am on a sabbatical. My focus will be on another project and at a later date I will share this information with you. The archives of Sacred Journal will continue to be posted on my website and I'll notify you when I start publishing again.

In the meantime, I will be starting a new list 5 days a week called Higher Thought. This will be a short paragraph or two for you to think about and you are invited to share your views and experience on the subject. You are also invited to submit your own higher thoughts that may be posted online, with your permission, of course. The new list will begin on January 6th.

From the moment I met you it was like re-connecting with a kindred Soul.
Knowing you has created a sense of home.
Because you see me, I can see myself.

You are such a good person, loyal, kind, and generous
With a wonderful ability to know when to offer advice,
And when to sit in quiet support.

Even when you may not understand my trials you always lend a hand
Time after time you've come to my rescue
And brightened so many of my days

You can change a frown into a smile when I feel down.
You are someone I turn to when my spirits need a lift
I never came to you, my friend, and went away without 
some new enrichment of the heart; 

You are someone I treasure for our friendship is a gift. 
You are someone who fills my life with beauty, joy, and grace 
And makes the whole world I live in a better and happier place.

There's a miracle of Friendship that dwells within my heart, 
I don't know how it happens or where it gets its start...
 But the happiness it brings me always gives a special lift,
And I realize that Friendship Is God's most perfect gift.

I may never find the shining words the glowing phrase that tells all that 
your love has meant to me,
all that your friendship spells.

There is no word, no phrase for you on whom I so depend.
  All I can say to you is this, 
I love you Sue, thanks for being my friend.
