Saturn in Cancer
Saturn in Cancer turns our attention towards our feelings. Over the coming
two and a half years we will be looking out how we are emotionally
supported, by both ourselves and others. The shell that naturally protects
our innermost feelings will be tested, and we will be learning about our
ability to both receive and give love and affection.
Saturn in Cancer means that issues like duty and responsibility are muddied
by personal needs and desires. Often there is a dilemma between satisfying
yourself or satisfying others. It seems difficult to compromise and
frequently others demand that you place responsibility to them before
yourself. Some may feel like they have to earn love and trust and do not
find it easy to love unconditionally. There can be a lack of understanding
of ones own feelings, and sometimes a tendency to neglect showing your
feelings or emotions. There may be a tendency toward shyness and melancholy.
It is often the case that we may find it difficult to integrate a personal
and professional life. As a result we feel like we are living two different
lives.
This Saturn phase will bring completion and new beginnings to the family
circle to which we belong. Many changes in direction of life, pursuits or
residence. Lessons are about recognizing & sympathizing with others
feelings, while cultivating our own responsible image & security.
