Identity Theft This months Sacred Journal is a little out of the ordinary, but I feel guided to tell you about an incident I recently had. Hopefully by sharing this experience it will help to prevent this same thing happening to you. In September 2003 my car was broken into and my purse with all my personal identification was stolen. Immediately I filed a police report that same day. In that same week I contacted my bank, social security office, credit card companies, the three major credit bureaus, Transunion, Equifax, Esperian, & the FTC. With in a few hours, and in the intervening days, weeks, and months, the perpetrator(s) have played havoc with my credit and identification. On a daily basis I have dealt with collection agencies due to the fraudulent use of my identity to gain credit, loans, obtain services, & airline tickets. You read or hear about this happening, but don't feel it would happen to you. In order to understand how this not only could happen, but why it has not stopped and for peace of mind I chose to look at this from a Metaphysical view. It is said that burglary is an unlawful entry of any fixed structure, vehicle, or vessel with or without force, with the intent to commit a larceny. Larceny then is unlawful taking or attempted taking of property from the possession of another, with intent to permanently deprive the owner of the property and identity. Identity is personality accumulated from action within action, and unfolding action upon itself, conscious of itself, using earth plane experiences from many incarnations. Finally, personality, the consciousness one is functioning from, giving certain character traits, built from all past thoughts and actions from many incarnations enmeshed with present vibrational bombardment. Metaphysics says that one is responsible for each experience in his or her life, one's physical body, and all environmental stimuli, due to one's past thinking and acting in this present life and in past carnations. All of a person's actions, deeds and bombardment of outer stimuli are tools for one to use to form an attitude toward life experiences and is returned to him or her in the form of rewards, problems, as pleasant, joyful, experiences or as confused, chaotic, and heart breaking experiences. The rewards or punishments are returned in the next few minutes, weeks, years, or the next incarnation. "For every action there is a reaction". When what appears in one's life totally disrupts one's normal lifestyle, one must let go of old patterns, beliefs, mannerisms, and activity. Beyond this I also embrace the idea that we can make agreements before we are born to be involved in another's Karma to assist in their growth, or to assist humanity at large. Interestingly that Identity Theft is the fastest growing crime in the United States. I may never understand why this has happened or what role I had in it's creation. I can only stay in the here and now and face what is being presented to me. I choose to take on a good frame of mind, and eagerly look forward to a spiritual resolution for all concerned. I, Charlene Ryan call upon the powers that be to witness this day that I, and only claim my power as a spiritual being. I take back my identity un-harmed, and I "surrender" to this unfolding and go forth with joy.
